Kalam 2047 – Cultural Event Guidelines & Submission Details
Dear Participant,
Greetings from Kalam 2047 Cultural Committee!
We are excited to welcome you to the upcoming cultural competitions. Please find below the event details, rules, and general guidelines. Kindly go through them carefully to ensure smooth participation.
General Guidelines

School students must come in uniform and carry their school ID card.

College students must come in formal attire and carry their college ID card.

Maintain discipline and respect towards fellow participants, judges, and organizers.

Plagiarism will lead to disqualification in any event.
-
Topics for competitions will be given on the website.

Drawing participants must bring their own stationery, A3-size chart paper, and newspaper.

Online submission events (Reel Making, Political Manifesto, Dream Pitch) must be uploaded using the drive link provided. Ensure your files are properly named with your name & institution.

Submissions for Reel Making, Dream Pitch, and Political Manifesto must be uploaded by August 18, 2025.

Rules and regulations have to be strictly followed otherwise participant will be disqualified

Decisions of the judges will be final.

Street Play – "Voices for Change"

Theme: Identify a societal problem, propose a solution, and show how to take it forward.

Team Size: 8–15 members
-
Duration: 7–10 minutes (including setup & exit)

Rules: Live music/basic instruments allowed; no obscene language or personal/political defamation; props allowed but must be easy to handle; must clearly depict problem, solution, and call to action.
Reel Making – "Reel for Real Change" (Online Submission)

Theme: Problem → Solution → Way Forward (Political/Civic focus)

Language: Tamil / English / Bilingual

Duration: 30–60 seconds (Instagram Reel format)

Participation: Individual or group (max 3 members)

Rules: Original content only; respectful language; creative use of music, voiceover, animation allowed; upload reel with hashtag #ReelForRealChange and tag @jnanagni.

Political Manifesto – "Manifest the Change" (Online Submission)

Theme: Your team as a political party presenting a manifesto.

Team Size: 3–5 members
-
Presentation Time: 8–10 mins

Rules: Include party name, vision, core values, promises, and implementation plan; optional slogan/logo/mock campaign style; no plagiarism.
Speech / Elocution – "Voices of Tomorrow"

Languages: Tamil & English

Duration: 3–5 mins

Rules: Notes allowed but avoid reading entirely; time limit strictly enforced; use stories, real-life examples, and quotes for impact.
Essay Writing

Languages: Tamil & English

Theme: Nation Building / Vision 2047

Rules: Originality, clarity, and relevance to the theme are key.
Group Dance

Theme: Cultural / Thematic Performance

Team Size: 7–10 members

Duration: 3–10 mins (including setup & exit)

Rules: Costumes allowed; no vulgarity. The use of cinema songs is strictly prohibited.
Young Scientist Expo

Theme: Innovation for India

Team Size: 5 members

Rules: Display working model or prototype with explanation of purpose, science, and impact.
Drawing

Theme: Social Change / India 2047

Duration: 120 mins

Rules: Bring your own stationery & A3 chart with newspaper. ; originality and creativity are key.
Dream Pitch (Online Submission)

Theme: Civic/Political startup idea for 2047.

Team Size: Up to 5 members

Duration: 5 mins

Rules: Clearly present the problem, solution, and execution plan.
